Venomverse (2024) brings Tom Hardy back as Eddie Brock/Venom in an epic, multiverse-spanning adventure that connects several iterations of the Venom symbiote and their hosts from different realities. The movie opens with Eddie Brock continuing to live a precarious but stable life in San Francisco, trying to balance his relationship with Venom while investigating a mysterious series of disappearances across the city. However, things take a bizarre turn when an interdimensional portal opens up, bringing alternate versions of Venom hosts from other realities into his world.
The mastermind behind the chaos is Knull, the god of the symbiotes, who has awakened from his imprisonment deep in space. Knull is hell-bent on reclaiming control of all symbiotes across the multiverse, intending to plunge every reality into eternal darkness. To do this, he begins corrupting the different Venoms from various universes, turning them into his mindless soldiers. Eddie, unwillingly pulled into the multiverse, meets alternative versions of himself and other hosts, including Anne Weying as She-Venom and a heroic version of Flash Thompson’s Agent Venom.
Eddie learns that Knull is hunting down every possible Venom in order to unite the symbiotes into a singular, unstoppable force. Together with these new allies, Eddie must find a way to resist Knull’s pull, rally the Venom hosts across the multiverse, and stop Knull before he can unleash his army on Earth.
The action-packed story features symbiote-on-symbiote battles, as Venoms from different realities fight for control of their fates. As Eddie faces overwhelming odds, the emotional heart of the movie lies in his internal struggle with Venom—can they finally become true partners and saviors, or will they fall to Knull’s dark influence and lose everything?
