In Underworld 6: Rise of the Vampire, Kate Beckinsale reprises her role as Selene, the iconic Death Dealer. The movie picks up several years after the events of Blood Wars. Vampires and Lycans are still locked in a brutal war, but a new and more dangerous threat emerges—an ancient vampire elder, Alaric, who has been awakened after centuries of slumber. Alaric, played by a menacing new actor, believes that vampires have lost their rightful dominance and aims to rebuild a pure-blooded vampire empire.

Selene, now a more powerful and wiser warrior, is living in relative peace, raising Eve, her daughter who possesses both vampire and Lycan abilities. However, the fragile peace between the vampire covens and the remaining Lycans is shattered when Alaric begins slaughtering both factions to consolidate power. His plan involves resurrecting an army of ancient vampires using forbidden magic to cleanse the world of Lycans and all impure bloodlines.

Selene is reluctantly called back into the fray when Alaric’s forces target Eve, seeing her as a threat due to her hybrid nature. Selene and Eve go on the run, and their journey takes them deep into hidden vampire territories, where Selene uncovers the truth about her own bloodline, which holds the key to stopping Alaric. They also encounter an unexpected ally in a rogue Lycan pack leader, played by a new supporting actor, who seeks to stop the extinction of Lycans.

The movie builds up to a massive battle between Alaric’s pure-blood army and a united front of vampires, Lycans, and hybrids, led by Selene. The climax features a personal showdown between Selene and Alaric in a gothic, ancient vampire cathedral. Using both her Death Dealer skills and newly discovered ancient powers tied to her bloodline, Selene manages to defeat Alaric, but not without great sacrifice.

The film ends with a bittersweet victory as Selene, now a leader in her own right, acknowledges the changing world where vampires, Lycans, and hybrids must coexist or face extinction. It sets up the possibility of a new era—or perhaps an even greater threat in the future.
