The Hills Run Red 2 delves deeper into the dark, twisted legend of Babyface. Years after the horrifying events of the original film, the world has largely forgotten about the infamous lost horror movie and the brutal killings surrounding it. However, a new generation of horror enthusiasts, obsessed with underground films and urban legends, uncovers a shocking discovery—there’s rumored to be a sequel to the long-lost The Hills Run Red movie, filmed but never released.
Leading this new group is Alice, a young horror filmmaker whose curiosity about the original massacre has turned into an obsession. Along with her boyfriend Jake, tech-savvy sound engineer Leo, and horror fan Greta, Alice embarks on a dangerous journey to locate the supposed sequel and find out what happened to the original killer, Babyface.
The group heads back to the same isolated woods where the first set of murders occurred. As they explore the eerie, abandoned filming locations, they start to encounter strange and disturbing clues: cryptic notes, mutilated props, and unsettling video footage. They soon realize they are not alone—the descendants of Babyface’s original family are still alive, continuing their legacy of creating real-life horror movies. These new killers wear grotesque masks, inspired by Babyface, and have been meticulously recreating the murders as part of their own underground snuff film business.
One by one, the group is hunted down and murdered in increasingly sadistic ways, each death filmed as part of the family’s growing collection. Alice discovers that her own family has a connection to the Babyface cult—her father was involved in the production of the original The Hills Run Red, and he had made deals with the killers to bring authenticity to the film.
In the film’s final act, Alice is captured and forced to star in the ultimate showdown, where she faces off against a resurrected and even more monstrous Babyface. The movie ends with Alice barely surviving, but the final scene hints at the continuation of the Babyface legacy, with another generation poised to carry on the gruesome tradition.
